How much does it cost?/What is the cost per meal?Vibe Chefs doesn’t sell individual meals for a fixed price. We are a service-based business offering a customized solution for individuals and families with diverse needs. Weekly costs can vary significantly among clients due to factors like session time, quantity/type of food prepared, and preferred grocery store. Billing rates for service are charged by the hour. Groceries are purchased individually for each session based on your custom menus and preferences, and grocery costs are applied directly to your invoice without markup of any kind. We are always happy to talk through your specific needs to provide an estimate.

Do I have to have service every week?Our standard service revolves around regular meal prep sessions as a non-contracted weekly commitment. It’s no problem to skip an occasional session as long as we are notified in advance. If you don’t need meals every week, we also offer “as-needed” service, where you can book more sporadically. However, with this option we can’t guarantee your session on a specific day of the week or with a specific chef. (But we’ll do our best!)

How do in-home and delivery service differ?With in-home service, your chef will come to your home on a set day and time each week and fulfill your meal prep in your own kitchen. They will use your supplies and equipment and store your food in the containers of your choice. (We suggest glass containers, and can provide recommendations if you need to stock up.) With delivery service, your chef will prepare your meals in advance and bring them to your home. They will use their own supplies and equipment, and will pack your meals in disposable containers. Your food can be dropped off to you directly, or we can enter your home and leave your meals in the refrigerator.

Can I see a menu?We create custom menus for every client, every session. We specifically tailor all meals to meet each client’s individual dietary needs, ingredient preferences, and food style, so we don’t have a generic menu. Your chef will send your weekly menu in advance of each session, giving you the opportunity review it and make any changes. We’re also happy to take requests if you have a craving or favorite recipe! How does it work?Vibe Chefs is a fully customized cooking and meal prep service. We start with a detailed intake to collect information about your dietary needs, ingredient preferences, and food style. Clients are then assigned their own personal chef who will plan weekly menus and fulfill regular meal prep sessions on a set day each week. We offer both in-home and delivery chef services. Each session consists of tailored menu creation, grocery shopping, cooking, packing/labeling, and clean up. Your chef can prepare whatever kind of food you need- breakfasts, lunches, dinners, or snacks, and the type and amount of food can be adjusted however you’d like from week to week.

What if I need to skip or cancel a session?We understand that with regular service there may be weeks when you’ll need to skip your session due to travel, illness, or other circumstances. Our priority is to ensure communication as far in advance as possible so we have time to try to fill gaps for our team and can do our best to compensate for their loss of hours. There is no penalty or cancellation fee for sessions cancelled with more than 72 hours notice.

If I choose to have in-home service, do I need to be home during my session?You do not need to be present for your in-home service. Most of our clients are not home when their sessions take place, and we’re pretty good at making our way around new kitchens. You’re free to go about your daily routine knowing you'll come home to a clean kitchen and a fully stocked refrigerator. All of our chefs are vetted and background checked, so you can trust we'll take the best care of your home. Meet our team on our home page to get to know us better!

Will I have the same chef every week?Yes! When you become a client we'll match you with a chef from our team that best fits your dietary needs and food style. You’ll be able to build a working relationship with your chef as they fulfill your sessions week after week. They’ll learn your favorite dishes and exactly how you’d like everything prepared. If you ever feel that your chef isn’t the best match for you, or you’d just like to change things up we're always happy to arrange for you try someone new.

Can you work within my budget?Yes! We have a flexible range of service to fit a variety of budgets. Many of our clients find they actually save money as they move away from a lifestyle of frequently eating out or buying groceries that never get cooked. We always address our clients’ budgets and make sure to keep things cost-effective and sustainable. Feel free to reach out and we’ll be happy to give you a custom quote based on your needs

How long does a chef session last?Chef sessions can range anywhere from 2-6 hours, depending on the amount of food requested. Billable session time begins when your chef arrives at the grocery store to do your personal shopping and ends when your in-home cooking is completed, or at the time of drop off for delivery service.

What areas do you service?We currently service all neighborhoods in the greater Nashville area for both in-home and delivery chef sessions. If you are located more than 10 miles from downtown Nashville, an additional fee applies. This amount is paid in full to your chef to compensate for extra gas, mileage, and travel time for extended distances. If you are located farther outside of Nashville, we also offer the option to pick up your meals from your chef at a designated location closer to town

What if I need more than one session per week?No problem! Many of our clients find that chef service once per week works well for them, but we happily accommodate more frequent sessions for our clients with that need. If you’d like meals for more than 4-5 days per week or simply prefer your chef to cook more often, twice-weekly scheduling is available.

Can you accommodate special dietary needs like gluten-free, dairy-free, or vegetarian?Absolutely. We love to say that “special diets are our specialty.” Our chefs are experienced in cooking for all kinds of clients with many different needs and preferences, including gluten-free, dairy-free, vegan/vegetarian, postpartum nutrition, Paleo, AIP, keto/low carb, Whole 30, and more. We are also happy to collaborate with your doctor, trainer, nutritionist, or coach to help make implementing your health or weight loss goals easy and seamless.

Do you offer catering or do special events?While our standard service revolves around regular weekly cooking sessions, we love to accommodate small parties or events when possible. Current clients can request this service for consideration depending on event size and availability. At this time we’re not equipped to fulfill large-scale catering or event food preparation.
